Terms of Service

Effective date: August 7, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Postiz Social Media (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Antoine LANDRY ("we", "us", or "our"), the operator of Postiz Social Media. These Terms apply to all users of the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Postiz Social Media is a self-hosted social media management and scheduling web application. It allows authorized users to connect their own social media accounts and channels through the official authorization systems and APIs made available by supported third-party platforms.

The Service currently supports, among other integrations:

  • connecting a TikTok account through TikTok's official Login Kit and publishing or scheduling original video content through TikTok's official Content Posting API; and
  • connecting a YouTube channel through Google OAuth 2.0 and using the YouTube API Services to upload or schedule original video content and submit user-selected publishing information, including the video's title, description, privacy status, and made-for-kids setting.

The Service is operated by Antoine LANDRY, based in 97419, France. It is provided as a technical tool for publishing actions initiated, configured, reviewed, and authorized by users. We do not claim ownership of user content and do not independently select or publish content without the user's authorization.

3. Eligibility and Account Requirements

To use the Service, you must:

  • be at least 16 years old, or meet the minimum age required in your country to consent to and use the relevant online services;
  • have a valid account or channel in good standing on each third-party platform that you connect to the Service;
  • have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under the laws applicable to you;
  • be the owner of, or have all necessary authority to manage, every account or channel that you connect; and
  • not be barred from using the Service or any connected third-party platform under applicable law or platform rules.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Service account and credentials and for all activities performed through your account. You must not share access credentials with unauthorized parties.

4. User Responsibilities

By using the Service, you agree to:

  • use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms;
  • connect only accounts and channels that you own or are expressly authorized to manage;
  • publish only content that you own or are fully authorized to publish;
  • review and confirm the content, destination account or channel, metadata, visibility, audience designation, and publication time before authorizing publication;
  • comply with the terms of service, community guidelines, developer policies, and other applicable rules of each connected third-party platform;
  • comply with all applicable laws, including copyright, trademark, privacy, data protection, consumer protection, and other intellectual property laws;
  • not attempt to misuse, disrupt, reverse engineer, or exploit the Service or its underlying infrastructure;
  • not use the Service in a way that could harm other users, third parties, connected platforms, or the Service; and
  • keep your credentials and connected-account authorizations secure and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

5. Content Ownership and Authorization

You retain ownership of the content you submit or publish through the Service. By submitting content for publication, you represent and warrant that:

  • you are the original creator of the content, or you hold all rights, licenses, permissions, and authorizations necessary to publish it;
  • the content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, trade secret, privacy right, publicity right, or other right of any third party;
  • you have obtained all required consents from individuals who appear in or are identifiable from the content; and
  • the content complies with applicable law and the rules of every selected destination platform, including TikTok's and YouTube's applicable rules.

You grant us only the limited rights necessary to process, temporarily store when required, transmit, schedule, and publish the content according to the settings and instructions you provide. We do not claim ownership of your content and act solely as a technical intermediary for your authorized publishing actions.

6. Prohibited Uses

You must not use the Service to:

  • publish content that you do not own or are not explicitly authorized to publish;
  • infringe the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any third party;
  • post illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, harassing, threatening, deceptive, or misleading content;
  • upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, spyware, or other harmful software;
  • circumvent security measures, access controls, authentication mechanisms, platform restrictions, rate limits, or API quotas;
  • scrape, crawl, download, or collect data or content from TikTok, YouTube, Google, or any other platform in a manner not expressly permitted by the relevant platform and applicable law;
  • impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
  • connect, access, or publish to an account or channel without the owner's express authorization;
  • conduct automated or bulk publishing that was not expressly initiated, configured, reviewed, and authorized by the owner or authorized manager of the relevant account or channel;
  • manipulate views, likes, subscribers, comments, engagement, or other platform metrics;
  • use the Service to evade enforcement actions or restrictions imposed by a connected platform; or
  • violate these Terms or any applicable third-party platform rules.

7. No Unauthorized Reposting

The Service is intended only for publishing content that users own or are expressly authorized to publish. Reposting, redistributing, or republishing content created by other users or third parties without the necessary rights, licenses, permissions, or explicit authorization is prohibited.

Any use of the Service to republish copyrighted material, third-party content, or content for which the user lacks the necessary rights may result in immediate suspension or termination of access and may expose the user to legal liability.

8. Third-Party Platform Terms

The Service integrates with third-party platforms, including TikTok, Google, and YouTube. Those platforms are independent from us, and their own terms, policies, and guidelines apply in addition to these Terms.

TikTok

When you connect or publish to TikTok, you must comply with TikTok's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, as updated by TikTok from time to time.

YouTube and Google

Postiz Social Media uses YouTube API Services. By accessing or using the YouTube-related features of the Service, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

Your use of the YouTube integration must also comply with the applicable YouTube Community Guidelines, YouTube API Services Terms of Service, and YouTube API Services Developer Policies, as updated from time to time.

YouTube and Google may modify, restrict, suspend, or discontinue their services, APIs, permissions, quotas, or platform functionality at any time. We do not control those third-party services and cannot guarantee their continued availability or compatibility with the Service.

We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access to a connected-platform integration if we reasonably determine that its use violates these Terms, applicable law, or the rules of TikTok, YouTube, Google, or another relevant platform.

9. Connected Accounts, OAuth Authorization, and User Control

Connecting a YouTube channel or another supported account requires you to complete the relevant platform's official authorization process. For YouTube, authorization is provided through Google OAuth 2.0. The Service does not ask for or store your Google or YouTube password.

You authorize the Service to perform only the actions covered by the permissions you grant and the publishing instructions you provide. You retain final control over:

  • the account or YouTube channel connected to the Service;
  • the content submitted for publication;
  • the title, description, privacy status, made-for-kids setting, and other available publishing information;
  • whether the content is published immediately or scheduled for later; and
  • whether the Service remains authorized to access the connected account or channel.

Scheduled content may be transmitted at the time selected by the user without an additional confirmation at that later time, because the user expressly authorized the action when creating or confirming the scheduled publication.

You may disconnect an integration through the Service where that functionality is available. You may also revoke Postiz Social Media's access to your Google account through the Google Account permissions page. Revoking authorization may prevent related features from functioning and may cancel or disrupt pending publications that depend on that authorization.

10. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable access to the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or fully secure availability. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical problems, third-party platform changes, API restrictions, or circumstances beyond our control.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or any integration when reasonably necessary, including to maintain security, comply with applicable law or platform requirements, or respond to changes in a third-party API. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice of material changes.

11. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Service if:

  • you breach these Terms;
  • your use of the Service violates applicable law or third-party platform rules;
  • your account, connected account, publishing activity, or content creates a security, legal, or operational risk;
  • a connected platform requests or requires the restriction;
  • continued access could harm another person, a third party, a connected platform, or the integrity of the Service; or
  • we are required to do so by law, regulation, court order, or another lawful authority.

Upon termination, your right to access or use the Service ends immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including those concerning intellectual property, liability, indemnification, and governing law, will remain in effect.

You may stop using the Service at any time and revoke connected-account permissions through the applicable platform's settings.

12. Intellectual Property

The Service's design, source code, user interface, branding, and associated materials, excluding user-submitted content and third-party materials, are owned by Antoine LANDRY or used under applicable licenses. All rights are reserved.

You may not reproduce, copy, modify, distribute, publicly display, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any protected part of the Service without our prior written permission, except where an applicable open-source license expressly permits such use.

TikTok, Google, YouTube, and their respective names, logos, trademarks, services, and content remain the property of their respective owners. Nothing in these Terms grants you any ownership right in those third-party materials.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or compatibility with third-party platforms.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, continuously available, fully secure, or accepted by every connected platform. Content submitted through the Service remains subject to the review, moderation, processing, and enforcement systems of the destination platform.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty or statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Antoine LANDRY and any persons acting on his behalf will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to the use of, or inability to use, the Service, including loss of data, revenue, profits, opportunities, or reputation, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability for claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for access to the Service during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

These limitations do not apply where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited, including any mandatory rights or remedies available under applicable consumer law.

15. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Antoine LANDRY and any persons acting on his behalf from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and reasonable legal expenses arising from or related to:

  • your use of or access to the Service;
  • content you submit, schedule, publish, or attempt to publish;
  • your breach of these Terms;
  • your violation of applicable law or third-party platform rules; or
  • your infringement of another person's rights.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without prejudice to any mandatory protections granted to you under the law applicable in your country of residence.

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service will be submitted to the competent courts determined under applicable law. Nothing in this section deprives a consumer of any mandatory right to bring a claim before another competent court or use an available consumer dispute-resolution procedure.

17. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Service, supported integrations, applicable law, third-party platform requirements, or our practices. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page.

Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service. Where required by law, or where changes are material, we will provide reasonable advance notice.
